金魚シリーズ – 私はもともと社会とのつながりが少ない生活でしたが、コロナ禍でよりスタジオにこもる時間が増えました。そんな中、一人で考える時間が増え、心の中ではネガティブな感情とポジティブな感情が交互に繰り返されていました。特に、一人でいる時間が長いと、水の中に深く潜るようなネガティブな気持ちになりがちでした。加えて、実際に人と会って些細なことを話すことの素晴らしさを実感した時期でもありました。これらの作品は、そのような感情を金魚の動きや水の揺らぎになぞらえて描いたものです。

Goldfish Series – My life has always been disconnected with society, however the pandemic made me spend more time in my studio. Under such circumstances, I spent more and more time alone to think, and my mind was constantly alternating between negative and positive emotions. In particular, spending a lot of time alone tended to make me feel negative like a deep dive in the water. Additionally It was a time when I realized how wonderful it is to meet people in person and talk about trivial things. These works are depictions of such emotions, compared to the moving of goldfishes and fluctuation of water.
